Simplicity Shots

These shots are SOO overdue, but its better to get them in now than not at all.

I love the lighting in this photo, it feels like the sun flares off of the pineapple.

Extra Shots

These shots don't fall under any assignment we have recently done other than the basic compositions but I was really proud of these shots so I decided to post them.

Still Life

I'm really happy with my still life shots. I was really lost about what to shoot for this because I wasn't sure about the lighting and background. I thought this would have good simplicity. However finding the proper lighting to make it not to bright and not to dark was difficult,(It was very sunny) I just kept playing with the white balance, ISO and trying to block out some of the light manually.

This shot was taken on a fence post. I like the way the fence sticks out because of the bright background. I kind of wish the sky above the middle fence post had a bit more contrast instead of it being so white.

 

I love the way the white pearls in the bracelet stand out among the fence. I feel I am finally getting to understand how significant DOF is in a shot. I wish the charms stood out against the fence more and I feel some of the fence to be distracting but I could Photoshop it out.

Body Language Shots

In this shoot I had trouble finding my model and finding people that were willing to work with me.
Model 1 gave up mid way and model 2 did not want their face to be photographed. I had some trouble with lighting so that would be a thing to work on in the future. Sorry about the models but I feel I did my best with what i had.

1. How do people demonstrate power?People demonstrate power by standing up tall and open. They use the hand steeple movement and when taking a 'hand shake' photo, they always make sure their hand is on top.
2. What do people do when they are lying/feeling defensive? When people feel defensive they break eye contact. They also show to be very closed off, they try to change the subject fast.
3. How do people demonstrate then they are "welcoming"? People show they are 'welcoming' by being very open, they also make eye contact with you and have a very friendly facial expression.
4. How does one show they are being authentic? They use their own style.

1. How can you use what you learned from watching this documentary and apply it to your life as it is right now? I would try to be open more open and make sure I look more friendly.
